Terms and Conditions

Version 2026-11-01

These Terms are the contract between you and Invitette (“we”, “us”) for using this site and buying a digital wedding invitation. Please read them before you pay: you accept them at checkout.

1. The service

Invitette lets you (the “Couple”) choose a Template, fill it with your own names, texts, photos and video, pay once, and publish a digital wedding invitation (“Invitation”) at its own web address. Your Guests open it in a web browser and can reply (“RSVP”); you see the replies in your Dashboard and can export them.

Editing and previewing are free. You pay only to publish. Optional paid Extras (such as a Second Language, Guest Links or Keep Forever), small hand-made changes (“Personal Touch”) and fully custom invitations (“Bespoke”, by quote) are offered separately.

The Invitation is delivered online only. It works in current versions of the common web browsers on phones and computers and needs an internet connection. It has no copy protection.

2. Your account

You sign in with your Google account or your email address, and each time you confirm it with a one-time code we email you. Keep that mailbox secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

You must be at least 18 years old and give a correct email address.

3. How you order

The steps are: you choose a Template and edit it; you save it by signing in; you open “Publish”, where you see what you are buying and the total price; you tick the boxes to accept these Terms and the Data Processing Agreement and to ask for immediate publication; you pay on our payment partner’s checkout page.

Until you pay you can go back and change anything, or simply leave. The contract is concluded when your payment is confirmed. We then confirm your order by email.

The contract can be concluded in English or Romanian. We keep a record of the version of these Terms you accepted. This page stays available here, and you can save or print it.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in euro before you pay, as a total including taxes. You pay once: there is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.

Payment is handled by our payment partner, a “Merchant of Record” named on the checkout page. It is the seller on your invoice, charges the VAT that applies to you and issues the invoice. We never see or store your card details.

Your Invitation is published automatically as soon as the payment is confirmed.

5. Your right of withdrawal

If you buy as a consumer, the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a contract concluded online, without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day the contract is concluded, that is, the day your payment is confirmed.

To withdraw, use “Withdraw from contract” at the bottom of every page: you fill in a short declaration, confirm it, and get an acknowledgment by email at once. You can also send us any other clear statement that you withdraw, through the contact form on this site (“Contact”, at the bottom of every page), for example the model form below. It is enough that you send it before the 14 days end.

If you withdraw, we refund everything you paid, without delay and at the latest within 14 days of receiving your statement, through the same means of payment and at no cost to you.

When the right ends early. Your Invitation is digital content supplied online, and it is published the moment your payment is confirmed. At checkout we therefore ask you to agree expressly that we start right away, and to confirm that you know you lose your right of withdrawal by this. We confirm it to you by email. Once your Invitation has been published on that basis, you no longer have a right of withdrawal for it or for the Extras ordered with it (§ 18(1)(11) of the Austrian FAGG, implementing Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU). For Extras you order later, the 14 days run from that order; if you withdraw, we switch the Extra off and refund it.

Hand-made work (Personal Touch and Bespoke). Here the right of withdrawal ends when we have finished the work, provided we started at your express request and you confirmed that you know you lose the right once the work is finished. If you withdraw after we started at your request but before we finished, you pay for the part already done, in proportion to the full price.

If, in your case, the law gives you a right of withdrawal even after publication (for example because part of what you bought counts as a service), you can use it within the same 14 days. We then take the Invitation offline and refund the price, less an amount in proportion to what was provided up to your withdrawal, where the law lets us keep it.

Model withdrawal form (fill it in and send it to us only if you want to withdraw from the contract): “To Invitette, through the contact form on this site: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: [the Invitation’s web address or the order]. Ordered on: [date]. Name of consumer: [name]. Address of consumer: [address]. Email address used for the order: [email]. Signature of consumer (only if this form is sent on paper). Date: [date].”

The Refund Policy explains what we refund on top of these legal rights.

6. Your content

The names, texts, photos and videos you add stay yours. You allow us to store, process, adapt to screen sizes and display them only to provide the service to you. This permission ends when the content is deleted.

You confirm that you may use everything you upload, including photos and video of other people, and that you have told the people named or shown in your Invitation.

You must not publish content that is illegal, that infringes someone’s copyright, image or privacy, that is hateful, threatening, sexually explicit or deceptive, or that has nothing to do with an invitation to a private event (for example advertising).

7. Reporting content and how we moderate

Anyone can report an Invitation or its content that they consider illegal through the contact form on this site (“Contact”, at the bottom of every page). Please give the web address of the Invitation, what exactly you consider illegal and why, your name and email address, and a statement that you make the report in good faith.

We confirm that we received the report, look at it promptly and carefully, and tell you what we decided. Reports are read and decided by a person; we use no automated tools to moderate content.

If content breaks the law or these Terms we may remove it, take the Invitation offline, or close the account in case of a serious or repeated breach. We tell the Couple concerned what we did, why, on what basis, and how to object.

If you disagree with a decision, write to us and we will look at it again. You can also go to court or use an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under the EU Digital Services Act.

Our point of contact for users and for authorities is the contact form on this site. You can write to us in English, Romanian or German.

8. Your Guests’ data

When your Guests reply, you decide what is asked and what happens with their answers, and we process them on your behalf. The Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which you accept before publishing, is part of these Terms.

9. How long your Invitation stays online

Your Invitation and all Guest data are deleted automatically 3 months after the wedding date (the “Retention Date”). We email you 30 and 7 days before, so you can export your RSVPs. With the Keep Forever Extra the Invitation stays online, but the Guest data is still deleted.

You can keep editing your published Invitation until the wedding day. Its web address does not change.

While an Invitation is not published, the photos and clips uploaded to it are deleted one day after your last change. Its text is kept.

10. If something does not work

You have the legal warranty rights for digital services. For the whole time we owe you the Invitation online, it must work as described here and on the site, including the updates needed to keep it working and secure.

If it does not, tell us through the contact form on this site (“Contact”, at the bottom of every page). We will put it right at no cost and within a reasonable time. If we can’t, or don’t in time, you may ask for a price reduction or end the contract and get a refund, as the law provides.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the service available at all times, but short interruptions for maintenance or because of faults at our providers can happen.

We may change the service for a good reason, such as security, a change in the law, or technical improvements. Such changes cost you nothing and we tell you about them clearly. What you paid for keeps working until your Retention Date. If a change makes the service noticeably worse for you, you may end the contract within 30 days of the change or of our notice, whichever is later, and get back the part of the price for the time that remained.

12. Ending the contract

The contract ends by itself when your Invitation is deleted on the Retention Date. You can delete your account, with everything in it, earlier at any time (“Delete account” in the editor); this alone does not entitle you to a refund.

We may end the contract early only for a serious reason, in particular a serious or repeated breach of section 6, after warning you where that is reasonable.

13. Liability

We are liable without limit for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited (for example under product liability law).

For damage caused by slight negligence we are liable only if we breached an obligation that is essential to the contract, and then only for the damage that is typical and foreseeable for a contract like this one.

If you buy as a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away the rights the law gives you.

14. Changes to these Terms

The version you accepted when you paid applies to that Invitation for as long as it exists. New versions apply to new orders. If we ever need to change the Terms of an existing contract, we will ask for your agreement.

15. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Austrian law, without its conflict-of-law rules and without the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts there.

If we can’t settle a complaint with you directly, you can turn to a consumer dispute resolution body. For contracts concluded online with a business in Austria this is the Internet Ombudsstelle (www.ombudsstelle.at). The bodies in all EU countries are listed at https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu. In Romania you can also contact ANPC (www.anpc.ro). We are not obliged to take part in such a procedure and decide case by case.

16. Contact
